Veterinary Services Provided at CCALE 

• At CCALE, humane treatment of the animal is our goal. Every dehorning is done like we would do it in our veterinary hospital. The area is numbed so that  pain is not felt by the animal. This makes for less stress and better health for the animal.
• We will take care of castration for you, no matter what size. We will castrate baby calves up to mature bulls. Every castration includes a tetanus antitoxin to prevent your newly purchased animal from getting tetanus.

• Any vaccine can be given, but due to the stress and co-mingling of cattle we recommend a killed vaccine, if given the same day as the animal is bought at the sale barn.
• We highly recommend the pinkeye pellet vaccine. One pellet for one year of pinkeye protection. No having to catch the cattle to give a second round of vaccines for pinkeye.
• Every animal that receives vaccinations, or any veterinary care, has to have an ear tag to keep for veterinary records. We are very inexpensive on our ear tags. If you have your own ear tags we will put them in for you as well.
• We have about every drug for respiratory disease complex including: Draxxin, Baytril, Zuprevo, Nuflor, Excede, Oxytetracycline, Zactran

We have the capability to do pregnancy ultrasounds, if there is a question about pregnancy or detect if an animal is early bred. We offer pregnancy checks at the Tuesday Cattle Auction as well as pregnancy ultrasounds (with advance request) on goats at our Small Animal Auction.
